The Long Bar, Spinningfields

A new addition to Spinningfields’ bustling social scene is part bar, part art installation.

Designed by architectural imaginer Paul Danson, who dared to place the rural-styled Oast House among the glistening steel of cosmopolitan Spinningfields, Long Bar’s unique design is every bit as eye-catching.

The building incorporates an intricate metal exoskeleton and three walls which open to make the most of exclusive access to Spinningfields’ outside lawns on sunny days.

Inside, guest DJs spin a selection of Balearic beats and summer soul through a Blacka Installations sound set-up to suit this futuristic venue, comprising a powerful combination of Blacka Acoustics speakers, amplifiers, and state-of-the art turntables and mixer.

Kitchens serve up a mouth-watering selection of sandwiches, deli boards and summer snacks, washed down with chilled Champagne, cocktails and cold beer, to make Long Bar the choice for company parties, al fresco lunchtime drinks and evening celebrations.

“The sound system and simple control system and back end are very impressive,” said Long Bar manager Phil Dawson.

“The installation achieves a solid, clean and rich sound no matter what setting and easy-to-use control allows for a great atmosphere to suit all times.

“Please extend my gratitude to the whole Blacka Installations team!”
